March 26, 2003

Sonny has a nightmare in which an unseen person pushes Carly down a flight of stairs. Sonny is upset when he sees Jason and Courtney moving into Jason's penthouse across the hall. Jason explains the attempt Faith made on Courtney's life and the two men fall into their old pattern of working together.

March 27, 2003

Carly turns to Jason for help when she witnesses Sonny slipping further and further into his despair. Jason assures Carly he will keep working behind the scenes to cover Sonny's business interests. Sonny overreacts when he sees Courtney working her shift at Kelly's. At The Cellar, Jax provokes Sonny into attacking him. Jason and Carly arrive and Jason tries to diffuse the situation by having Sonny focus his anger on him instead of Jax. Ric "suggests" that Courtney quit her job as hostess at The Cellar.

March 28, 2003

Carly gets Sonny to leave The Cellar with her and takes him home. Sonny admits to Carly that he is afraid he will never be able to put his life back together. Carly voices her confidence in Sonny while declaring her love for him. A desperate Alexis goes to Sonny with the intention of telling him he is Kristina's father. Sonny coldly berates Alexis, who decides to never tell Sonny the truth about Kristina.

March 31, 2003

Carly realizes Sonny is acting irrationally when he enlists Ric to help him expose Faith's silent partner. Jason voices his love to Courtney. Carly goes to Jason and Courtney for help and they form a plan to expose Faith's partner. To that end, Courtney and Jason stage a public break up. Faith follows Jason, who agrees to team up with her to destroy Sonny. Sonny demands that Ned tell him who Faith's partner is. When Ned refuses to help, Sonny begins to beat him. Taggert arrests Sonny.

April 1, 2003

Carly has no choice but to turn to Ric for help in getting Sonny out of jail. Jason demands that Faith tell him who her silent partner is. Faith agrees to name her partner under the condition that Jason kill Sonny that very night. Carly is unable to fill Sonny in on her and Jason's plan. Sonny meets with Jason on the docks and is surprised to find him with Faith. Faith orders Jason to shoot Sonny. Jason refuses until Faith reveals who her partner is. A hidden Ric shoots Faith before she can name him as her partner. Ric takes aim at Jason. Carly rescues Michael when the ice begins to crack while he is skating. Carly saves Michael, but falls through the ice herself.

April 2, 2003

PART 1:
Ric misses his chance to shoot Jason when Sonny calls Jason back to him. Faith loses consciousness before she can tell Sonny the name of her partner. Courtney manages to pull Carly from the water but Carly has stopped breathing. Sony and Jason are at the hospital waiting for word on Faith when Carly is rushed in. Sonny is consumed with worry over Carly and their unborn baby. Faith regains consciousness and accuses Ric of shooting her. Sonny is faced with choosing to save Carly's life or the life of their unborn child.

PART 2:
Sonny is faced with saving either Carly or their unborn baby. Jason tries to take the burden from Sonny by deciding for him. Sonny understands why Jason would do that but says it’s his wife and child and therefore his decision. Sonny ultimately chooses to save Carly's life. As Monica is about to administer the drug that would save Carly, she wakes up. Monica warns Sonny and Carly that the baby could still be at risk.

April 3, 2003

Sonny and Carly support each other as they pray for the life of their unborn child. Sonny admits that he needs Jason to come back to work for him. Jason and Sonny reconcile as friends as well as business partners. After Carly has an ultrasound, she and Sonny learn that their baby survived. Jason makes it clear to Sonny that Courtney is still a part of his life. Ric feels he is making inroads with Sonny but becomes privately furious to learn that Jason and Sonny settled their differences. Sonny dismisses Ric, who decides to eliminate Jason permanently.

April 4, 2003

Sonny becomes increasingly paranoid about possible danger to Carly and their baby. Jason assures Sonny that they can handle any threat that comes their way if they work together. Sonny reluctantly seems to accept Jason and Courtney's relationship.

April 7, 2003

Despite Carly and Jason's best efforts, Sonny remains on edge. Furious over Sonny rejecting him, Ric plants evidence to make it look as though Jax is Faith's partner.

April 8, 2003

After seeing Ric's "proof" that Jax is Faith's partner, Sonny orders Jason to kill Jax. Jax denies to Jason that he is Faith's partner. Ric and Faith later trick Jax and end up getting some seemingly incriminating photos of him. [Jason forces Edward to admit that he gave Faith the money to order the attempted hit on Sonny.] Sonny's paranoia grows worse and his condition deteriorates when Courtney strikes back after he lashes out at her. Sonny plans on shooting Faith. Carly, however, is the woman standing in the doorway as Sonny prepares to fire his gun.

April 9, 2003

Jason demands that Edward help him find out who Faith's silent partner is. Sonny becomes unnerved when he realizes how close he came to shooting Carly. Ric brings Sonny a set of photos as "proof" that Jax is Faith's partner. Jason doesn't believe that Jax is guilty but Ric convinces Sonny otherwise. Sonny loads his gun with bullets as he sits in his limo. Courtney blames herself for Sonny's downward spiral.

April 10, 2003

Armed with a loaded gun, Sonny summons Jax to a warehouse with the challenge to come and kill him. Jax alerts Taggert to Sonny's phone call. Jason arrives at the warehouse and succeeds in talking Sonny down until Taggert arrives to arrest Sonny. Sonny is moved by the extent of Jason's loyalty when Jason volunteers to take the fall for him. Jason and Sonny escape from Taggert and make it safely back to the penthouse.

April 11, 2003

Courtney's heart breaks when Michael blames himself for Sonny's troubles. Sonny calls a meeting of the families, but doesn't tell either Jason or Carly. Sonny summons Faith to the meeting and labels her as the enemy of the families while demanding she name her partner. Carly becomes alarmed when she realizes Sonny lied to her about calling a meeting of the families. Sonny's paranoia increases as he verbally attacks Faith. Sonny has a vision of Carly and Michael's deaths but finds everything to be normal when he returns to the penthouse. Sonny then collapses in Jason's arms.

April 14, 2003

[Jason returns to his penthouse to find a letter from Courtney saying that she has moved back in to the loft. Jason reluctantly agrees to a temporary separation until Sonny gets back on his feet.] Carly is temporarily able to distract Sonny from his troubles. Sonny realizes that Ric is Faith's silent partner.

April 15, 2003

Sonny and Jason discuss the implications of Ric being Faith's partner. Carly is grateful to Courtney for ending her relationship with Jason for Sonny's sake. Carly tries to remain optimistic but Courtney isn't sure the time will ever be right for she and Jason to get back together. Fowler, one of Faith's employees, arranges a meeting with Jason with the promise of information about Faith's partner as per Ric's instructions. Jason is knocked unconscious when he goes to meet Fowler, who Courtney later finds dead in a dumpster behind Kelly's. Faith accuses Jason of killing Fowler in front of Taggert. Courtney unleashes her pain at Sonny, who surprises Carly by apologizing to Courtney. Sonny pulls a gun on Ric as he confronts him about being Faith's partner.

April 16, 2003

Ric surprises Sonny and Jason when he gives Taggert an alibi for Jason's whereabouts for the time of Fowler's murder. Ric insists to Sonny that he isn't working with Faith. Sonny appears to buy Ric's story but later tells Jason they will set a trap to expose Ric's lies. Faith leaves a shaken Courtney with a deadly threat. Carly begins to grow suspicious about the events on the night she slept with Ric after he came to her rescue at Jake's and "saved" her from Fowler's advances. Courtney presses Coleman for information and later tells Carly that her drink had been drugged on the night in question. Carly confronts Ric, who denies any association with Fowler or Faith. [Ric later shows Faith the tire iron used to kill Fowler, complete with Jason's fingerprints on it, and assures Faith he will use it to destroy Jason when the time is right.]

April 21, 2003

Jason tells Sonny that he wants to eliminate Faith immediately. Sonny forms a plan to use Faith as bait to expose Ric as her partner. To that end, Jason grabs Faith and whisks her off to a safe house. Courtney sees Jason kidnapping Faith. Sonny stages a manic rage for Ric's benefit and tells him that Jason is going to kill Faith. Faith tells Jason that if he kills her, Courtney's love for him will change forever. A nervous Carly waits for her amniocentesis test to be conducted. Carly fears Sonny would be destroyed if Ric turns out to be the father of her baby.

April 22, 2003

At the safe house, Jason informs Faith that he and Sonny are waiting for her silent partner to show himself. Elizabeth is shaken by Ric's intensity when he implies something went wrong with his unspoken plan. Ric arrives outside the safe house and sees Faith tied to a chair, just as Sonny and Jason had planned. Courtney sits with Carly as she awaits her tests results. Carly receives the results from her paternity test and asks Courtney to read them.

April 23, 2003

Ric walks straight into Sonny and Jason's trap when he shoots Faith, who turns out to be a mannequin. Sonny wants to know Ric's agenda before he kills him. Sonny becomes furious when Ric advises him to ask Carly for the answer to his questions. Sonny has one of his men take Ric to a safe house. Carly is hugely relieved when the paternity test reveals that Sonny is the father of her baby. Carly later confesses to Sonny about the night her drink was drugged and how Ric took her to a motel and raped her. Sonny doesn't blame Carly for the ordeal. Sonny instructs Jason to kill Faith and plans on doing the same to Ric himself. Sonny returns to the safe house and discovers that Ric has escaped.

April 24, 2003

Sonny spares Faith's life in the hope she will be able to give him a lead on Ric's whereabouts. Elizabeth sends Taggert away without revealing Ric's presence. Elizabeth refuses to believe Jason's claim that Ric raped Carly and later agrees to help Ric when he calls. Carly fears Sonny sees her differently since learning the truth about her and Ric. Sonny assures Carly she isn't to blame for her ordeal with Ric and they begin to make love.

April 25, 2003

[Courtney follows Ric when she spots him outside of Kelly's. Elizabeth manages to get Jason off of Ric's trail. Ric takes Courtney hostage and restrains her in his apartment. Responding to Courtney's call, Jason arrives and is held at gunpoint by Ric. ] Faith tells Sonny she thinks Ric would flee to Martha's Vineyard. Carly and Sonny tell Michael about Carly's pregnancy. Carly assures Michael that she and Sonny will still love him just as much even after the baby arrives. Michael asks Carly if Sonny is his father.

April 28, 2003

[Before leaving with Courtney as his hostage, Ric tells Jason to have Sonny meet with him alone at his family's summer home on Martha's Vineyard. ] After seeing a photo of the house, Sonny remembers being there as a child. Sonny forces Jason to stay behind as he heads to Martha's Vineyard. Ric hides Courtney in a mineshaft as he waits for Sonny to arrive. Elizabeth accuses Carly of lying about Ric raping her. Carly claims Elizabeth is in denial about Ric because she can't admit to herself that she has developed feelings for a rapist. Carly tries to answer Michael's question if Sonny is his father. In the process, Carly attempts to explain the difference between biological parents and parents who love and raise their children. Michael seems to understand Carly's explanation but later heads off to see AJ. AJ is surprised when Michael arrives at the mansion.

April 29, 2003

As Sonny heads towards the house in Martha's Vineyard, he remembers being there as a child with his mother, Adela. Sonny arrives at the house where he is confronted by a gun toting, Ric. Ric explains that his family owns the house and Sonny remembers that Ric's father, Trevor, was Adela's boss. Sonny recalls being responsible for Adela falling down a flight of stairs. Ric shocks Sonny when he announces that he is Sonny's brother. Skye intervenes with Michael and gently assures him that AJ would never try to take him away from Sonny and Carly. Skye calls Carly to alert her to Michael's presence at the mansion. Carly arrives at the mansion but begins to fall down the stairs after losing her footing.

April 30, 2003

Sonny holds Ric at gunpoint as Ric explains that Adela is his mother and Trevor Lansing is his father. Ric accuses Sonny of wanting to have killed him when he caused Adela, who was pregnant with Ric, to fall down the stairs. Ric goes on to explain that Trevor blamed Sonny for the fall and wanted Adela to give him up for adoption before they got married. Adela kept Sonny and gave Ric to Trevor before she walked away from him. Ric blames Sonny for cheating him out of a happy life with Adela and Trevor and for causing Adela pain. Ric admits that he never slept with Carly but enjoyed making her think that she had been unfaithful to Sonny. Sonny can't bring himself to shoot Ric, but an arriving Jason takes aim and fires his gun. AJ prevents Carly from falling down the stairs at the mansion. Edward and AJ are furious with Skye when she continues to assure Michael that they won't try to take him away from Sonny and Carly. Carly is grateful to Skye for her gentleness with Michael.

May 1, 2003

Sonny prevents Jason from killing Ric. Jason is shocked when Sonny lets Ric walk away just because he claims to be Sonny's brother. Jason fears Sonny has given Ric more power to use against him but Sonny remains confident that Ric can't touch him or his family. Carly is stunned when Sonny tells her that Ric is his brother and that Ric claims he never actually slept with Carly.

May 2, 2003

Coleman gives Courtney proof that Ric never raped Carly. Courtney later shares this knowledge with Sonny. Sonny is guilt-ridden over being responsible for Adela missing out on the life she could have had with Trevor Lansing. Carly takes Sonny's gun and heads to Ric's. Carly drugs Ric and restrains him with duct tape. Carly then threatens to kill Ric.

May 5, 2003

Carly holds a drugged Ric at gunpoint, threatening to kill him. Sonny arrives and prevents Carly from shooting Ric. Ric later gives Scott evidence to use against Sonny.

May 6, 2003

Armed with Ric's information, Scott and Taggert order searches of all of Sonny's properties. Sonny and Jason, however, are one step ahead of Scott and cover their tracks before any damaging evidence can be found. Courtney hears Faith discussing framing Jason for Fowler's murder with Ric. Carly thinks that Jason and Courtney should get married. Faith runs Courtney down with her car before Courtney can tell Jason about Faith's plan to frame him for murder.

May 7, 2003

Courtney is rushed to the hospital after being run down by Faith. Jason realizes that Courtney's hit-and-run was not an accident. Mike blames Sonny and Jason for Courtney's plight. Sonny leaves before harming Ric after getting word about Courtney being taken to the hospital. At the hospital, Courtney mistakes Ric for Jason and reveals she knows about Ric and Faith's plan to frame Jason for murder.

May 8, 2003

Ric warns Courtney that if anything happens to him, he will see to it that Jason takes the blame for murdering Fowler. Courtney later covers for Ric in front of Sonny and then Jason. Courtney and Jason talk about Carly's idea that they should get married.

May 9, 2003

Sonny reconciles with Courtney and promises to try and accept her and Jason's relationship. Courtney denies to Sonny that Ric threatened her. Courtney doesn't tell Jason about Ric's threats. Sonny thinks Ric is no longer a threat to his family. Ric plans on using Courtney to destroy Sonny.

May 12, 2003

Courtney and Jason try to explain to Michael that Carly was mistaken when she said they were getting married. Sonny finds Ric in the park with Courtney and Michael and reminds Ric that he will never be a part of his family.

May 13, 2003

Sonny and Jason try to convince Carly to let Jason and Courtney make their own decisions about marriage. Sonny later tells Jason he would approve of his marrying Courtney.

May 14, 2003

Sonny whisks Carly away to his island for a romantic vacation. Sonny and Carly are moved when they feel the baby kick.

May 15, 2003

Sonny and Carly are speechless when Ric announces that he is going to marry Courtney. After Ric leaves, Jason and Courtney explain to Carly and Sonny about Ric's threat to frame Jason for murder. Jason, Courtney, Carly, and Sonny set their plan against Ric in motion.

May 16, 2003

Having overheard Jason and Courtney plotting against him, Ric tells Courtney he is going to turn the tire iron with the incriminating evidence against Jason over to Scott. Jason holds Ric at gunpoint as Scott and several officers arrive. Jason manages to escape with the tire iron. Courtney throws Ric's ring in his face. Courtney and Jason look forward to having a real engagement and wedding. Sonny warns Ric not to waste his life by trying to get revenge against him. Carly urges Elizabeth not to terminate her pregnancy, but Elizabeth later makes plans to do so.

May 19, 2003

Jason and Courtney announce their marriage plans to Sonny and Carly, who take them to The Cellar to celebrate. [Maxie gets a fake ID from Dillon and goes to The Cellar to see Kyle. After being humiliated by Kyle's sister Shannon, Maxie takes a pill that Zach gave her.] Maxie then collapses in front of Sonny, Jason, Carly and Courtney. As the paramedics tend to Maxie, Sonny scares Zach into handing over his pill supply. Scott accuses Sonny of dealing drugs and closes down The Cellar. When Ric goes to Sonny to try and make peace, Sonny accuses him of being responsible for drugs being at The Cellar and believes it is another one of Ric's attempts at revenge.

May 20, 2003

Ric insists to Sonny that he wants to declare a truce as he explains he now has a child to live for. Sonny fears a new danger is heading into town with the influx of drugs. As Sonny, Carly, and Michael prepare to enter the limo for a dinner outing, the car explodes in flames.

May 21, 2003

Sonny insists that Jason take Carly, Michael, and Courtney to the island to protect them. Jason does so, but he's torn as he also wants to stay in town for Sonny's sake. Sonny is about to kill Ric when he receives a call from an anonymous source claiming responsibility for the car bomb. Carly and Michael face potential danger on the island.

May 22, 2003

Sonny allows Ric to leave after finally accepting the fact that Ric isn't responsible for the bombing. Jason comes across two men in Sonny's cabana but they run off before he can catch them. Jason discovers drugs planted inside the cabana as several Drug Enforcement Agents arrive at the door but they find nothing. Jason, Carly, Courtney, and Michael return home where Sonny vows to find out who is behind this latest threat.

May 23, 2003

[Faith manipulates Elizabeth into meeting with Sonny.] Sonny meets with Elizabeth at an outside plaza and Elizabeth wants his promise that he won't go after Ric. Sonny, already on edge due to the threat from his unknown enemy, loses his temper and unleashes his anger on Elizabeth before walking away. [As Elizabeth is about to leave, Faith appears behind her and pushes her down a flight of stairs. Ric later finds an unconscious Elizabeth.] Courtney assures Carly she is able to deal with the life she chose to have with Jason.

May 26, 2003

Ric thinks that Sonny deliberately pushed Elizabeth down the stairs. Sonny visits Elizabeth and denies pushing her down the stairs. Ric sees an emotional Elizabeth collapse in Sonny's arms and becomes more convinced of Sonny's guilt. Sonny feels guilty when Michael has a temper tantrum and defends his actions by claiming he is acting like Sonny.

May 27, 2003

Elizabeth is devastated after suffering a miscarriage. Sonny assures Ric he didn't push Elizabeth down the stairs but apologizes for losing his temper in front of her. Elizabeth tells Ric she is certain Sonny didn't push her down the stairs. Ric insists to Sonny he wants to continue their truce and Sonny agrees. Sonny and Jason prepare to meet with their new rival from Miami.

May 28, 2003

Mike tells Courtney he won't give her his blessing unless Jason asks him for Courtney's hand. After being prompted by Courtney, Jason speaks with Mike, who happily gives his blessing for Jason to marry Courtney. Sonny and Jason meet with Javier, the second-in-command from Miami. The meeting ends in a stand off when both sides hold each other at gunpoint.

May 29, 2003

Sonny flatly refuses to allow Javier and his boss to use the harbor for drug smuggling. Sonny realizes the threat from Miami won't go away easily. Sonny is alarmed when Carly calls and asks him to return home immediately. Sonny and Jason return to the penthouse with guns drawn but find that Carly and Courtney called them home to discuss possible wedding outfits. Carly is touched when Sonny repeats the vows he said at their wedding.

May 30, 2003

Ric is inwardly livid when he sees a happy Carly and Sonny together at Kelly's. Courtney invites Emily, Monica and Skye to the wedding shower Carly is throwing for her. AJ ruins Courtney's shower by first inviting several of the strippers Courtney used to work with to attend and then arranging for Courtney's drunken mother to arrive as well. Jason and Sonny are invited to the No Name by Sammy Tagliati. Thinking it could be an ambush, Jason is shocked to walk into a surprise bachelor party in his honor. After seeing Luke's despair, Sonny voices his undying love for Carly. [Ric buys a house with a panic room, but doesn't inform Elizabeth of the special feature of their new home. Ric tests the panic room and hangs the mobile he stole from Carly after promising Elizabeth he is sure they will soon have a baby of their own.]
